Bodnant Gardens

I have a scrapbook layout to share today, created by Jenny Williams for Magathon using the Creative Stamping Vintage Springtime collection.
Jenny has used the beautiful flower spray stamp as the focal image on her layout, plus butterflies and sayings from the same collection on her page.
So pretty. A lovely design that I have already scraplifted three times! Thanks Jenny.

What do you get is you combine the Creative Stamping Vintage Springtime collection, plus our November card club design?
This beautiful card created by our very own Jane Towse!
Wonderful water colouring using the zig pens:
Quite a stunning card:

If you would like this issue and stamps please let us know. At only £5.99 it is exceptional value.

Birds of a Feather…

Another of my sample cards using the Creative Stamping Vintage Springtime collection.
The feather wreath just called out for a circular easel card! And having die cut various circles I didn’t let the negative pieces go to waste:
If you would like this issue of the magazine please let me know.

First Flowers of Spring

This is one of the cards I made for our Magathon workshops last week. I used a combination of masking and paper piecing to create the design.
The flowers were water coloured with my zig pens. If you would like a copy of this issue of Creative Stamping Vintage Springtime (£5.99) please let us know.

Vintage Springtime

Thought I would share just a few of the creative ideas made by our local crafters at last weeks Magathon sessions.
Lyn Brown created a pretty trio of hyacinths:
Lyn also used the oval media plate to create this lovely card suitable fore many occasions:
Gemma Hart used the same stamp and the media plate and created this lovely design:
And  Barbara Francis created this really lovely pop up card:
Thanks for sharing ladies.

Hedgehog Spring Card

Gemma Hart was inspired by one of the designs in the Creative Stamping magazine and has used it as the base for her own design.
I really like the pleated effect of the patterned paper:

Gemma used a grass border die to create the grass, and then added the mouse and hedgehog form the Vintage Springtime stamp collection, plus the greeting:
We have some of the magazines/stamp sets left. At only £5.99 they are brilliant value.

Triple Tag Card

Karen Ballantine was inspired by some of the cards in the Creative Stamping magazine and has recreated this pretty triple tag design.
The card base is 6″ high and 9″ wide and has been scored at 3″ and 6″. The panels have been coloured with distress ink and then stamped with images from the Vintage Springtime collection.
More images have been stamped onto die cut stitched circles and rectangles. The white shapes were softly coloured with spun sugar distress ink. Three holes and some coordinating ribbon are the finishing touches.
We have some of the magazines/A4 stamp sets left. At only £5.99 for both they are amazing value. Please let me know if you would like one reserved for you.

Nativity Scene

One of my most favourite stamps in the Creative Stamping Away in a Manger collection is this sweet nativity scene, designed by Wild Rose Studio. Here are three cards that feature it!

This first card has been created by Nina Lavelle of Creativity – such a lovely card. Nina has made the card blank from  a piece of A4 folded in half, and used word stamps from the collection for the background. The focal image has been softly water coloured but the clothing of Mary and Joseph left white. The fantastic frame has been made with a bark embossing folder that has been cut into pieces.

I have made a similar card using a suggestion by Andrea Ball to create a manger shape around the stamped image. The card base is 6″ x 6″. I used Wow! “Brass” embossing powder and heat embossed the focal image, star and words and then water coloured the nativity scene. A clear Wink of Stella pen has added lots off sparkle to the image.
The third card is a magic colour slide card. I have made the card base with a piece of cream A4 card folded in half. I added some patterned paper behind my sliding mechanism.

Pull the tag and the scene is revealed, in colour! Such a lovely surprise, and so easy to do with the die set I have used! Did you notice I added the rabbit and lamb to the outside of the card as decoration.
We are using the Creative Stamping Away in a Manger collection at this weeks card club, and therefore I ordered some extra copies. If you would like the magazine and stamp set  which are only £5.99 please let us know.
