The craft centre was opened in May 2006 because Christina loves scrapbooking and card making but realised that there was no local facility for pursuing the hobby. She set about creating a creative haven where friends could meet up and enjoy “time out” whilst sharing ideas, fun and memories.
Christina has a thirty year nursing/health visiting/teaching background with the NHS and loves to help others develop their skills and confidence with scrapbooking and card making.
Christina is never happier than when boxes of new goodies arrive!
Jane is a very talented crafter. Jane especially loves water colouring and is a great ambassador for our new Zig clean color pens!
Traci joined the craft centre in 2017 and has a bright, modern style when crafting. She especially loves die cutting and has loads of creative ideas. Traci combines work at the craft centre with her own hairdressing business.
Pat joined the team in February 2011 and helps out with holiday cover. Pat has retired from teaching at our local Lord Williams’s School (Pat taught art right at the begining of her teaching career!) Pat is a keen scrapbooker, who loves to embellish, doodle and stitch on her layouts.
Lots of you will know her as “Purple Pat”!
Jenny helps out making samples and layouts, and especially loves scrapbooking. Jenny enjoys anything that involves ink, chipboard, buttons, metal etc.
Behind the Scenes: Max offers technical support and administers the blog for me when I am away. The younger generation are so much better with technology than me!
Saturday Girls: Over the last ten years we have also employed a succession of ” Saturday girls“, all of whom have been enthusiastic crafters! Rachel, Megan, Sarah, Mary, Max, Lucy, Libby, Ally and now Issy. We really value our younger employees and enjoy the different perspective they bring to the business.
