“My Wonderful Gift”

I cropped with friends today and amid a LOT of chatting I managed to create another layout!

I coloured the background with faded jeans and peeled paint distress ink and then stencilled a hydrangea on top, plus added some Happy Retirement words. The white floral cut file has been backed with scraps of patterned paper. I just added a die cut title and some journaling and I think that was enough.

The beautiful hydrangea that my team kindly gave me is now planted and looking wonderful in the garden!

Lovely page Christina. I couldn’t help noticing just how much the colour of the flowers has changed now its in your soil!

Thanks Julie. The photo in the layout is a brighter blue than the plant really is. It’s more of a blue mixed with pink! It’s very pretty. I have put it in ericaceous compost to give it the best chance of retaining the colours.

    Hi Christina
Lovely layout it’s great that you are still putting inspiration on the blog for us, I really miss Amom so thank you for taking the time to do this.
Iron fillings around the base of the hydrangea is supposed to help keep the colour
Take care and enjoy your holiday at the end of the month
