Hello Scout

I met with friends last night to scrapbook and created my first layout since closing the business. I am really pleased with how it turned out, although I had to remember to take everything with me that I was going to need which amused everyone else!
I started with a piece of white 12×12 cardstock and painted stripes across it in a rainbow pattern of colours using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints. Whilst the paint was drying I punched a variety of decorative strips plus flowers in the same rainbow colours.
I die cut some black foliage (Cheery Lyn dies) and arranged everything around my three photos. I have left white space at the bottom of the page for some journaling.
I used Lawn Fawn and Marianne dies to create the title, and the tiny cute cat embellishments are made with a Karen Burniston die set that also features a dog, plus accessories. I finished the flower centres with some black gems.
This was great fun to make and could easily be adapted to other themes. How about stripes of blue, aqua and green for a nautically themed page, replacing the flowers with shells and seaweed? Or how about yellows and oranges for a tropical holiday page?  If you scraplift this design do send me a photo. I would love to see what other scrapbookers create with the design!
