“Awesome Travels”

This is one of the Magathon layouts from last weeks classes, using stamps from the Creative Stamping “Life’s and Adventure” stamp set. The photo of my daughter was taken last summer when she was on holiday in Morocco.
I used bright colours to reflect the country and sunshine. The design is a simple one I have used repeatedly over the years. Basically three strips, which I have stamped to create a subtle tone on tone pattern.
The die cut compass was painted with Cosmic Shimmer patina paints which I was rather pleased with. You could also use a mixture of embossing powders to create an interesting effect.
We have one compass left in stock, and it is now reduced to half price.
I used the stamps to create lots of little embellishments which I have clustered together. The lines are for my daughters journaling.
The title has been made with a combination of Creative Expressions (Awesome)  and Cheery Lynn (Travels) dies. I like mixing fonts and sizes when creating a page title. I have also stacked them for some extra dimension.
This was an easy but fun layout to put together, and my daughter really likes it too.

Beautiful page, Christina. If you have the word Awesome still in your shop can you put it aside for me, please.
