Just Wanted To Say…

I have had fun creating a birthday card for my niece Gemma using a selection of different dies.
As the card opens the inside is revealed:
The card when fully open. As an owner of two beagles I thought Gemma would appreciate these little chaps!
Supplies used: lawn Fawn pivot die with decorating dies, Karen Burniston cat and dog die set. Creative Expressions word dies, Woodware decorative edge punch. Marianne Balloon die, Squares used or personal greeting on the inside of the card from the Karen Burniston Spinner Square Pop-Up die set.

Happy 50th Birthday

A special friend has a special birthday today and this is the fancy fold card I have made for her.

The card measures 6″ x 6″ and I have used a kraft, cream and white colourway which I always think looks very elegant.
The fancy fold is easy to achieve by scoring and folding the front:
All the flowers, foliage, birthday wishes and doilies were made with selection of Cheery Lynn dies. The inside of the card is decorated to coordinate with the folded front.
Happy birthday Nina. I hope your day is very special.

Popping Out To Say Happy Birthday

It’s my youngest daughters birthday today so I wanted to make her a card that would make her smile. The outside of the card has a window through which a simple scene can be viewed:
As the card is opened something pops out from behind the scene:
A little black cat is saying happy birthday!
Supplies used: Karen Burniston Spinner Square Pop-Up die set, Cats and Dogs die set, little scene created with dies from the lawn fawn pivot card die set, Marianne balloon die. Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6×6 paper pad.

“First Selfie”

My latest layout. Capturing my first attempts at taking a selfie with my new phone with hilarious results!
I dry brushed white gesso onto patterned paper, then swooshed on some pink distress inks using the packaging technique. Photos matted and layered with some fussy cut flowers from another patterned paper. Added some stamped words to the background. Title stamped and die cut. Journaling written directly onto the page.
Supplies used: Little by Little by Shimelle American Crafts 12×12 paper pad, Title a combination of  Stampendous Brush Alphabet stamps and selfie die cut with Cricut, small words: Click Photo Sentiments stamp set by Marion Emberson.

“A Stunning Dress”

As I had lots of beautiful photos of my niece getting ready for her wedding I have made another double layout.

I have used the same floral cut file I used on my previous double layout but cut in pink and glued directly to the background. I added tiny stamped flowers.
Here I have used pieces of the floral cut file and backed it with patterned papers.  I used a large decorative edge punch down the side backed with plain white card. The pink stamped flowers and pink pearls link the two pages together.
Such a stunning wedding dress and my niece Gemma looked radiant and so happy.

Hey Diddle Diddle….

Although I have boxes and boxes of cards I didn’t have a baby card that was gender neutral as requested by my daughter! So I have made my favourite quick and easy pop up box card.

I have paper pieced the toy animals in a variety of pastel colours:

Supplies used: Woodware Baby Patch Elephant and Inkadinkado Welcome Baby stamp sets. Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham 6×6 paper pack.

Almost Ready – double layout

I have turned my “Almost Ready” page into a double layout.
I continued with the floral theme and used the same scraps of patterned papers to back my cut files. I have used the same ink colours and stencil for the background and again added some stamped words.
The bridesmaid’s dresses were a very, very pale pink so I have used that for my colour inspiration. This is a lovely theme for an album and I am finding it very relaxing to work on!

“Almost Ready”

I have scraplifted “My Wonderful Gift”  layout and recreated it as a wedding page for my niece’s wedding album.
I have added colour to the background with worn lipstick and picked raspberry distress inks, a small heart stencil and word stamps. I used a selection of patterned paper scraps to back the cut file.
You can see more about my first layout that I have scraplifted by clicking here.

“Fabulous Craft Addict Friends”

A quick and easy layout but I’m pleased with the finished page! I used a selection of patterned paper scraps to coordinate with the colours in the photo and cut them into rectangles. I die cut a square from two of the rectangles to make a polaroid frame shape.
I made a “torn” notebook page ready for my journaling:
Supplies used – Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies, Presscut Square die, Die-versions Notebook edge die, Sweet Dixie Stylised Daisy die set. Assorted alphabet and word dies used for title.

Another Birthday? No prob-llama

It’s Susanne McBriens’ birthday today so I thought I would share the card I made for her. I hope Susanne has a right royal day!
Llama’s are very on trend and I hope this cool chap with his sunglasses and bow tie makes her smile! I also decorated the inside of the card and envelope.
Supplies used: Spellbinders Llama die, Creative Expressions tribal mask, Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink and Creative Stamping Go Wild stamp collection.
